Atomic "Red Scare" TourThis one will be the one you remember the most! The short story is that Einstein accepts a job at the Institute for Advanced Studies - his primary motivation is our wonderful town but also that Hitler has a $5,000 bounty on his head. He writes a letter to FDR asking for research in atomic weaponry in response to the research he knows Hitler is up to during WWII. His other German Jewish scholars are recruited to the Institute: Kurt Godel, Jon von Neumann and Robert Oppenheimer. All were Nobel Prize Winners and instrumental in the research, development and success in building the world's first atomic bomb. Why does each have a CIA file of no less than 3,500 pages? Why was their friendship with Paul Robeson under suspicion? Princeton is rumored to be one of the most surveillanced area during WWII. This spring, take this thoroughly provocative tour and become the coolest conversationalist at your next cocktail party! Large groups may book this now! More info and upcoming events...
